We are working hard to get our Children's program up and running again in the fall. We are looking for people to help serve in the classrooms on Sundays! We want to be a community that knows (and is known by) our kids. That's why we love it when parents serve! Come be a part of our children's church experience by serving within your capacity.

If you are interested, or know someone who is, please email ChrisL@churchbcc.org

Green Lake Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is so excited to welcome you into our space for community and a chance to grow in our faith together. Welcoming a new baby into your family is such an exciting time, but it also comes with its fair share of difficulty, from those sleepless nights to feeding issues. At MOPS we welcome you and your children just as you are. MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) is a program for moms who have kids birth-5 years old. New this year of MOPS, we will additionally be providing supervision for homeschooled kids older than 5 years old! MOPS provides you with a supportive community of women who are going through the same phase of life and can relate to the joys and struggles that you may be facing. You can expect community and discussion time with other women, and a different speaker each week. MOPS is a place where you can take a deep breath, relax and enjoy being in the company of other women. We will be allowing each mom to request one table mate. Requests need to be mutual on both moms' registrations, so please touch base with your fellow mom prior to registering so our registration team can do our best to honor your requests.

MOPS COVID protocol will align with the Bethany Green Lake Family Ministry Fall 2022 safety plan. Please see the FAQ document below for further information.

This is a monthly support group connecting parents across the shared experiences of Fostering, Adoption, and Special Needs Parenting. We gather from 1-3pm on the first Saturday of every month. Childcare is available for all ages. For more information or to sign up, visit here.

"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them upon your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

Deuteronomy 6:6–7

BAPTISMS

For all school-aged kids interested in learning more about Baptism, join Pastor Chris for an Orientation Event - and bring your parents! There will be lots of details around the meaning of baptism as a step of faith - and why it is so amazing to have the whole church cheer us on! It's a great privilege to love, inspire, and equip our families to follow Jesus together!

If you have any questions or want more information, contact Pastor Chris Lyons.

Baby Dedication

Raising kids in a home and faith community where they can learn about their relationship with God is a calling found in Scripture and one we don't take lightly. This is a big responsibility for parents, but you don't have to do it alone. We want to give you opportunities to form relationships with other parents, and Children's and Family Ministries is committed to providing families with resources to help you lay a solid spiritual foundation for you children. One of the ways we do this is Child Dedication. If you have any questions, please email Chris!

Baby Dedication Is:

  • An opportunity to support families in their desire to raise their children in a Christ-centered home.
  • For the family, it is the opportunity for self-examination, determination and promise as they publicly declare their commitment to raise their child in faith.
  • A chance for the whole church community to join the family in celebration and affirmation of their commitment.

Baby Dedication is Not:

  • Required to attend or become a member at BCC
  • Infant baptism

How does it work?

  1. Parents/guardians fill out the online child dedication form at the bottom of this page.
  2. Attend a baby dedication class
  3. Choose one of the services in which to dedicate your child.

Baby Dedication FAQ’s

Is there an age limit?

For this particular event, we imagine the best age of participation to birth-48 mos. (By the time a child is four years old, they might be uncomfortable associating themselves with “babies.”) If you have older children and are looking for ways to do something like dedication with them, please feel free to contact Chris Lyons at chrisl@churchbcc.org

How does Baby Dedication work?

We do Baby Dedications once a quarter. Once you fill out the online baby dedication registration form, a staff member will contact you to coordinate service details.

Is the Dedication Class mandatory?

Yes, this is mandatory and includes all parents. If you are unable to attend the class during the date/time offered, contact a staff member to see if there are any alternate arrangements available.

What is involved in the Baby Dedication class?

The class is taught by one of our pastors. You will be placed at a table with other couples. We think you will find the class to be both enjoyable and informative!

What happens the day of?

The actual event itself occurs once a quarter during Sunday services at Green Lake (when you attend your class, you will hear specific details of what to expect). The dedication itself is intended to be a brief, sacred time where the community witnesses your commitment and pastors pray for you.

Can I invite my friends/extended family?

Absolutely. This is a great way to celebrate and have friends/family affirm your commitment to raise your child in an atmosphere of love and faith.
