CONNECT GROUPS AT BETHANY WEST SEATTLE

CONNECT GROUPS

October to June

Connect Groups (often times known as “small groups”) are a great way to build deeper faith and community. We know it’s difficult to develop close friendships just by showing up on Sundays so we hope and encourage everybody to join a Connect Group in order to have space to navigate life, build strong and lasting friendships, and to grow in faith.

Want to lead a Group?

Connect Group sign-ups will begin October 3rd and Groups will start meeting the week of October 9th. Connect groups meet every week or every other week (depending on the group) and all groups will finish in the middle of June with natural "holidays breaks”, typically in conjunction with the local schools.

Ministry of Racial Justice and Reconciliation (MRJR)At Bethany Community Church, we believe all humans are image bearers of God (Gen 1:27) and diversity is God’s very-good design (Rev 7:9). Therefore, we strive to stop racism and see God’s image in all people, including all variety of bodies, skin color, ethnicity, national origin, language, faith, and citizenship status. Jesus Christ is ultimately the One who breaks down dividing walls to dismantle racism. At the same time, Jesus calls and equips his followers to be his co-agents of reconciliation and justice. (Ephesians 2:14, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19). Toward this end, Bethany Community Church has made racial justice and reconciliation a strategic priority and established the Ministry of Racial Justice and Reconciliation (MRJR) in order to build a long-term community of reconciliation that restores broken relationships and systems. At MOPS, we welcome you and your children just as you are. MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) is a program for moms who have kids birth-5 years old. MOPS provides you with a supportive community of women who are going through the same phase of life and can relate to the joys and struggles that you may be facing. You can expect community and discussion time with other women and a different speaker each week. MOPS is a place where you can take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy being in the company of other women. We will be allowing each mom to request one table mate. Spirit, Soul, Body ClassSpirit, Soul, Body is a four-week experience designed to engage participants in a process of transformation to become more like Christ using a discipleship lenses of spirit, soul, and body, which ultimately leads to wholeness. The content of this experience was born out of the conviction that transformation happens not just by learning more about God, but by posturing ourselves to experience more of God in our day-to-day lives. Our weekly 1-hour meetings will all take place in person in the Green Lake Chapel. Our time together will include a gathering all together before spending the bulk of our time in small groups, allowing us to experience God, build relationships, and discuss the content in community. Before each week’s session, content will be delivered via video providing the theological basis and spiritual practice explanation, taught by Pastor Richard and Pastor Abby. If you’re looking for a unique way to engage your faith and to take the next step in your discipleship journey, we encourage you to join us! The cost is $25 to take the course, and it runs every Tuesday from January 9 through January 30.Weekly: Tuesdays at 7:00 PMGreen LakeNo childcare
