Sunday Buddies
One way we serve families of children with special needs is through our buddy system. Buddies are trained volunteers who partner with your child during the Sunday morning services, accompany them to their classroom, and help provide them with a fun and safe environment! If you think your child could use a Sunday Buddy, fill out this form. If you are interested in serving as a buddy, apply here. For any questions, contact Amy Wilkinson

Belong Support Group

1st Saturdays of the month | 1-3pm | Bethany Green Lake
A monthly support group for families of children with special needs, foster families, adoptive families, or prospective foster families, led by an experienced and active foster & adoptive family in our Bethany community. This group is available in person and a concurrent kids' group is available full of fun and meaningful content. Contact Amy Wilkinson For more information or to join the group: amyw@churchbcc.org

Refuel Days

Provided quarterly, next date December 17th.

Providing a safe and welcoming environment for children with special needs, foster children, adopted children, and their siblings.  Contact Amy: amyw@churchbcc.org for any questions. Sign up will be coming in late October.

BAPTISMS

For all school-aged kids interested in learning more about Baptism, join Pastor Chris for an Orientation Event - and bring your parents! There will be lots of details around the meaning of baptism as a step of faith - and why it is so amazing to have the whole church cheer us on! It's a great privilege to love, inspire, and equip our families to follow Jesus together!

If you have any questions or want more information, contact Pastor Chris Lyons.

Child DEDICATIONs

Raising kids in a home and faith community where they can learn about their relationship with God is a calling found in Scripture and one we don't take lightly. This is a big responsibility for parents, but you don't have to do it alone. We want to give you opportunities to form relationships with other parents, and Children's and Family Ministries is committed to providing families with resources to help you lay a solid spiritual foundation for you children. One of the ways we do this is Child Dedication. If you have any questions, please email Chris.

A Dedication is:

  • An opportunity to support families in their desire to raise their children in a Christ-centered home.
  • For the family, it is the opportunity for self-examination, determination, and promise as they publicly declare their commitment to raise their child in faith.
  • A chance for the whole church community to join the family celebration and affirmation of their commitment.

Dedication is Not:

Required to attend or become a member at BCC

Dedication FAQ’s

Is there an age limit? For this particular event, we typically dedicate children age birth to 5 years old. We recognize that our families come from diverse church backgrounds, however, and if you have older children who you'd like to have dedicated - or perhaps have a conversation about baptism, please feel free to contact Chris Lyons at chrisl@churchbcc.org.

How does it work?

We do Dedications once a quarter. Once you fill out the online baby dedication registration form, a staff member will contact you to coordinate service details.

What happens the day of?
The actual event itself occurs once a quarter during Sunday services at Green Lake (when you attend your class, you will hear specific details of what to expect). The dedication itself is intended to be a brief, sacred time where the community witnesses your commitment and pastors pray for you.

Can I invite my friends/extended family?
Absolutely. This is a great way to celebrate and have friends/family affirm your commitment to raise your child in an atmosphere of love and faith.
