Kids Summer Adventure Volunteers

On July 17th-20th, 250 kids are coming to Bethany Green Lake to learn about God and His love through skits, crafts, stories, and YOU! From work parties to roles during the week of KSA, there’s a place for you to serve, be it for a few hours, an evening or two, or the whole week. You won’t want to miss getting blessed as you’re a blessing to the children among us. There are two main opportunities to serve: 

Work Parties

Help prepare all the things that will be needed during the week, including crafts, Bible stories, and more, or help with clean-up afterwards! The dates we will be working include:

  • Saturday, June 3, 9-11am
  • Sunday, June 25, 1-3pm
  • Saturday, July 15, 9-11am
  • Saturday, July 22, 9-11am (clean up)

We also need help distributing KSA information packets to all families before and after services on Sunday, July 9 and Sunday, July 16! 


Serving during the week of KSA

Able to help the week of KSA? See below for all the different opportunities and times to help out! As a reminder, all of these roles come with training and require a background check for those that are 18 and older. We’d love to have you for the whole week, but even if you could help out just one of the days, that would be an immense blessing. 

Interactive with Kids:

  • Crew Leader (5:15-8pm) - paired with other leaders, you will guide a group of kiddos from station to station for the entire week!
  • Crew Support (5:15-8pm) - assist crew leaders with guiding kiddos to and from stations! 
  • Station Support (5:15-8pm) - help with activities including Bible stories, leading games, leading crafts, and handing out snacks!
  • Program (4:30-6pm and 7:15-8pm) - Love the spotlight? This position is for you! Help with all the things on stage, including skits, band, leading hand motions, or help our tech team! 
  • Welcome and Check-in (4:30-6pm) - greet families as they arrive each day and help them navigate the easy check-in system. 
  • Nursery (4:30-8pm) - Miss that newborn smell? Support other volunteers by caring for the babies and toddlers of those who are serving! 
  • Buddies (4:30-8pm) - hang out with a kiddo who needs a little extra support in order to participate. 

Behind the Scenes: 

  • Security (5:15-8pm) - serve as an extra set of eyes keeping our kiddos out of danger. 
  • Food Prep (4-6pm) - help prepare and hand out for for both volunteers and kiddos. Get first dibs on the goldfish!
  • Clean-up (8-8:30pm) - help us tidy up and reset the space for the next day. 


If you’re serving the week of KSA, please plan to be at one of the following KSA training days: Wednesday July 12 from 7-8:30pm OR Sunday, July 16 from 1-2:30. If your schedule doesn’t allow you to make it to one of those, please reach out to Amy Erickson to schedule a training time.
