30s/40s Fellowship GroupThis group (ages 30-49) meets up on the last Friday of every month year round and will plan Sunday afternoon gatherings through the summer.
50s & 60s Fellowship Group (pre-retirement)Our 50s–60s Fellowship Group is a warm and welcoming community for those seeking meaningful connections. We gather on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 9:30 AM in classroom A, and again for a monthly Taco Tuesday dinner. Our goal is to offer a relaxed, refreshing break—filled with laughter, good food, and supportive conversation with others who understand the pace of life in your 50s and 60s. It's a chance to recharge, connect, and plan fun future outings with a group that truly gets it.
55+ INDY (I'm Not Done Yet) GroupThis group typically meets on the 4th Sunday of each month (September-May) after the service for snacks and conversation. 65+ Retirees Fellowship GroupThe 65+ Retirees Fellowship Group is a friendly community for those in active retirement to connect, make new friends, encourage one another, and grow in faith together. We meet on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 11:00 AM in the Chapel overflow room to share a meal, enjoy meaningful conversation, pray, and plan outings and other fun gatherings. Bring a snack or dish (optional) to share and join us as we build supportive, close connections and walk together in this vibrant season of life.
Art, Faith, & Social Justice (meeting twice per month)A small group for artists and non-artists alike pursuing God's call for social and environmental justice through creative expression and activism. This is a time of extraordinary division in our country and a critical opportunity to pursue truth, healing, and transformation through Christ. Our group will examine issues through a creative lens, including the sharing and discussion of art, and provide a restorative, prayerful environment in support of each member's personal calling to serve. We are a Bethany Community Church-centered small group but will accept any who feel called to attend regardless of church affiliation or faith. At present, we do not offer childcare but hope to do so in the new year. If interested, please let us know! Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
Ballard: Sermon Discussion and PrayerThis group meets every Sunday to discuss the sermon and pray.
Basketball GroupBring your dribbling skills and join us for a couple of hours of basketball and fellowship across the street from our Shoreline campus. Illumination Through WritingDo you gain insights as you write – journaling, poetry, narrative? The goal is to encourage each other to write more by sharing our writing in a positive, no-pressure environment. For adults looking for support and self-accountability, to write more. Time: 1.5 – 2.0 hours. We will decide when and where once I have input from everyone wanting to participate, to determine the best time for most people. Supplies: Bring your own journal, pen, and any writing you are willing to share. Led by Gerry Barney.
Intergenerational Men’s CoffeeCome join this intergenerational men’s group as we learn from one another’s experiences and grow together in Christ. Our aim is to create a space where men of all ages can encourage and equip one another in their faith journeys. Whether you’re young or young at heart, we look forward to walking together as we intentionally pursue Christ in all aspects of our lives. Jeff Olden & John Greenquist will co-lead a ten week study running through early-December with an option to extend into 2026 if there's interest. Starts September 26.

We will be studying Ephesians starting our first meeting in February.

Quilting MinistryIf you're a quilter or knitter, join us to make quilts and blankets to gift to those who need prayer and comfort. Seeing the Sacred: Photography as a Spiritual PracticeThey say pictures are worth 1,000 words, but photos can also call us deeper into our relationship with God, creation and ourselves. No photography experience is needed to join this group of folks using the art of photography to see through a new lens. Bring your curiosity and camera or cell phone, and prepare yourself to see God. This group has quarterly in-person gatherings for community and photography field trips. The group also has an online presence where folks can upload photos and share comments. Summer Beach Volleyball GroupWhether you're an experienced player or want to learn the basics, join us in enjoying the nice weather, learning something new, and getting to know others. We will meet on Thursday evenings at Golden Gardens. No need to bring anything; just show up.
Thursday Bible Study - Fall 2025Meeting for over a decade, our Thursday Bible Study has a history of focusing on Scripture while building relationships, making our big church a bit smaller and creating spaces for folks to share life together. We will use our time together to gather as large group to hear a brief devotional and then break into our consistent small groups where we’ll discuss the Bible study from the week, share life together, and pray. Women's Bible Study occurs at 10am, and childcare is provided with advance registration. At 7pm, we have both men's and women's groups, but childcare will not be available. With two different times on Thursday, we hope there’s a good fit for you! DATES: Thursdays, October 2 - December 11 COST: $30
